Josh Mendelsohn serves as counsel in litigation and advises community associations on matters including governing document drafting and enforcement, legal opinions, contract negotiations, employment issues, governance, real estate and land use. He has successfully represented associations in complex litigation concerning disputes over maintenance and repair, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, easement rights, and contracts.
In addition to his experience representing common interest developments, Josh has over fifteen years’ experience representing corporate clients in operational, transactional and litigation matters concerning real estate, corporate governance and employment. In this role, Josh conducted numerous trials and arbitrations, and advised clients in connection with real estate and business transactions totaling in excess of $500 million dollars.
Josh has also served as an ethics attorney with the State Bar of California where he investigated and prosecuted ethical misconduct by attorneys—experience and knowledge that serves him well in advising board of directors for community associations.
