Russell Higgins is proud to join as a partner at Angius & Terry, LLP in Walnut Creek, California. Mr. Higgins has over 18 years of legal experience since earning his Juris Doctor with cum laude honors from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he also served as a senior staff member of the Pepperdine Law Review. Mr. Higgins is a member of the State Bar of California, admitted to practice in all courts of the State of California as well as the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Central and Southern Districts of California. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in literature from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama.

Mr. Higgins devotes his entire practice to community association law, as he did for many years before joining our firm. He has advised countless associations on preparation and enforcement of governing documents, architectural guidelines, contract negotiations, employment and disability considerations, insurance coverage issues, and a myriad of other legal issues affecting both residential and commercial associations.

However, in the course of his career Russell has also practiced in criminal and civil litigation and trials, as well as construction defects. With the benefit of this experience, Russell works diligently with managers and boards of directors to advise them on techniques that can reduce the need for costly litigation and, if necessary, guide parties toward mediation or other dispute resolution mechanisms as an alternative. But if litigation is ultimately required, Russell is an expert and formidable advocate.
