How do I know if my association suffers from construction defects?

Well, the obvious indication of a construction defect is where you have a water leak inside the house and you see the stucco cracking on the outside of the house, but another way that you can know you have a construction defect as opposed to a maintenance item is to look in the reserve studies supplied by the builder and see if you’re spending money on correcting items before they’re indicated in the reserve schedule.
