How do I recover if the builder/developer is out of business, cannot be located, or is bankrupt?

If the builder is out of business, cannot be located or is bankrupt, there is still a way to get recovery. That’s because the money comes from insurance. You either need to hire an investigator to track down the builder, and they can almost always be found. Or if they are in bankruptcy, you can go into The Bankruptcy Court and get permission from The Bankruptcy court to pursue a claim against the insurance company. The fact that the builder is either out of business or is bankrupt is usually not an obstacle to getting a recovery in one of these cases.
